INBOMETRAKA has been entrusted with the responsibility of documenting the Cosmovisión Kallawaya, designated as a Treasure of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO (Paris, 2003). The Kallawaya Dr. Walter Alvarez Quispe is the Executive Director of this project. At the same time, Carmen Beatriz Loza, the present Director of Research, advises the project, assuming responsibility for the research and writing involved. INBOMETRAKA led the process that culminated in UNESCO’s declaration. Now, INBOMETRAKA produces information to help share this heritage, through publications and videos about the culture and the language machaj juyai, the secret language of the Incas.
